You create your Personalized Profile by scanning a QR code in the game and recording a short selfie video of your head and ears on your phone. No app is required.

Before you start, check these two things. They're the most common reasons a scan fails:

• Remove your headphones, earbuds, and anything else on or around your ears.
• Make sure no hair is covering your ears. Pull your hair back or use clips so both ears are fully visible.

1. In the game, go to Settings → Audio → Enhanced Headphone Mode, select View Set Up, then select Try Now for 14 Days.
2. Open your phone's camera app and point it at the QR code on screen.
3. Tap the link that appears on your phone to open the Immerse web page.
4. When asked for camera permission, tap Yes.
5. Review the short tutorial, then tap Start to begin your video.
6. Center your face in the frame. When the frame turns green, recording begins.
7. Follow the on-screen prompts to turn your head slowly to show your face, left ear, and right ear. You don't need to press any buttons.
8. When the capture finishes, the video uploads automatically.
9. Return to the game, select Next Step, and choose your headphone preset.

More tips for a good scan:

• Face a light source so your ears are lit when you turn your head.
• Turn your head slowly so the camera can capture each ear clearly.
