How to Enable Enhanced Headphone Mode in Call of Duty

Quick Setup (Universal Profile) Use the free Universal Profile with no setup required:

1. Go to Settings > Audio
   
2. Turn on Enhanced Headphone Mode (EHM)
   
3. Start playing—spatial audio is active
   

Optional: Create Personalized Profile Add a custom profile tailored to your ears and headphones (free 30-day trial):

1. Go to Settings > Audio > Enhanced Headphone Mode Configuration
   
2. Scan the QR code with your phone
   
3. Follow on-screen prompts to capture your ear video
   
4. Select headphone model (or Universal In-Ear/Closed-back/Open-back)
   
5. Return to game and select "Personalized Profile" from dropdown
   

Activate a License Code If you purchased a license from Embody website or Steam:

1. Go to Settings > Audio > EHM Configuration
   
2. Scan QR code with phone
   
3. Go to Settings menu (top right) > "Activate License"
   
4. Enter your license code from email
   
5. Toggle EHM off and on to refresh permissions
   

Note: Third-party spatial audio (PS5 3D Audio, Dolby Atmos, Windows Sonic) must be disabled for optimal EHM performance.
