COD | Set Up Enhanced Headphone Mode with Brand-Specific Headphones

How to set up Enhanced Headphone Mode with brand-specific headphones like Astro, Logitech G, Steelseries, Corsair, Soundblaster, and Razer

Rule: Use only one spatial processor at a time. Disable all third-party spatial audio in your headphone software before enabling EHM.

Astro A50/A40/A10/A20/A30

  1. Disable Dolby Audio: Press the Dolby button on the headset
  2. Open Astro Command Center > Headset Audio > Select "Stereo Uncompressed"
  3. Turn off EQ (set all sliders to 0 dB) until you adjust later
  4. On Xbox/PS5: Go to Settings > Audio Output > Select "Stereo Uncompressed"

Logitech G Hub

  1. Click your Logitech headphones in G Hub
  2. Click "Surround" tab (right of Acoustics)
  3. Uncheck "Enable Surround Sound"
  4. Set all EQ sliders to 0 dB (disable Advanced EQ if available)

SteelSeries GG (Sonar)

  1. Open SteelSeries GG app
  2. Go to Sonar tab (top left)
  3. Find Spatial Audio section > Slide toggle left (off)
  4. Disable Game EQ initially (enable later after EHM adjustment)

Corsair iCUE

  1. Go to PC Sound Settings > Spatial Sound > Turn OFF
  2. In iCUE: Set headset to Stereo (bottom left)
  3. Flatten EQ initially, adjust later after EHM adjustment

SoundBlaster

  1. Open SBX Profile menu
  2. Disable "Surround" effect
  3. Disable all SBX processing (re-enable later as preferred)
  4. Disable Dolby Digital & DTS: Go to Encoder menu > Select "No Encoder"
  5. Quick option: Enable Direct Mode in Playback menu to disable all processing at once

Razer Synapse

  1. Open 7.1 Surround Sound app > Slide "Enable Surround Sound" to OFF
  2. For THX Spatial Audio (if present):
    1. Type "Services" in Windows search > Press Enter - Press Tab, type "THX" - Right-click THXService > Properties > Select "Stop"
    2. Change Startup Type to "Disabled"
    3. Restart game for changes to take effect
