COD | Allow Call of Duty Through Windows Firewall

If you're having connection issues with Enhanced Headphone Mode, ensure Call of Duty is allowed through Windows Defender Firewall.

Part 1: Add Inbound Rule

  1. Start menu > Windows Defender Firewall
  2. Click "Allow an app or feature through Windows firewall"
  3. Click "Change settings" (top right)
  4. Click "Allow another app"
  5. Click "Browse"
  6. Locate your Call of Duty game:
    1. Steam: Open Steam > Library > Right-click COD > Properties > Local Files (shows path)
    2. Battle.net: Open Battle.net > Game Library > COD > Game Settings (shows path)
  7. Select the game application
  8. Check both "Private" and "Public" boxes
  9. Click OK

Part 2: Add Outbound Rule

  1. Go to "Advanced Settings"
  2. Click "Outbound Rules" > "New Rule"
  3. Select Rule Type: "Program"
  4. Browse to your Call of Duty game location and select it
  5. Check "Allow Connection"
  6. Set for Domain, Private, and Public
  7. Click Finish

Result: Call of Duty is now allowed through Windows Firewall.
